What To Wear To a Brunch Date

Finding the perfect balance between casual, laid back and ‘dressy’ can often make choosing outfits for brunch or daytime meet ups with friends hard! Here is some outfit inspo and tips from what I wore last weekend.

Last weekend I went out for brunch, and paired this Puff Sleeve Top from Topshop with my boyfriend ripped jeans and snakeskin mules. This puff sleeve top is very on trend this season, and I’m loving the added frill detail on this Topshop one. ย The boyfriend jeans are from Missguided, I purchased these boyfriend jeans at the beginning of the year and can no longer find the exact pair on the website anymore. But, there are loads of great alternatives still on the site. These are the first pair of jeans I’ve bought from Missguided and the fit is perfect! I normally struggle to find a good pair of fitting jeans, due to my height, most pairs always come too short. But these boyfriend jeans are a great length, colour and fit – I love them (as you can tell)! Ripped jeans are a great way to elevate laid back looks in your wardrobe.

Now onto these mules. My collection has been growing steadily, and they are quickly becoming my favourite type of shoes. They work with almost any outfit, and strike the perfect balance between casual and dressy. I really like the colour of this pair I got on Very.co.uk, I think it really looks good against my skin tone. I got them on sale reduced to ยฃ7.50, amazing bargain. You can check them out here.

What to wear on your next brunch date – Recap

  • Throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans to get a ‘laid back’ look
  • Add mules or a mid-heel to balance this with just the right amount of ‘dressy’
  • Pair with a cross body bag or your favourite clutch that has a similar colour to your shoes to tie the look together!

Hopefully, this can serve as some outfit inspiration if you’re stuck on what to wear on your next brunch date! Let me know what you think in the comments.
